New Ranveer beats Salman and Shahrukh….....

Newbie Ranveer Singh of Band Baaja Bharaat fame, has outshone stars like SRK and Salman Khan in India’s first annual Facebook Movie Awards.

This award will have users of Facebook vote for their favorite movie star for 2010. Started by social media marketing professionals, it is an initiative to give film folk a transparent award based on viewer choice who are on  social networking space. The FBMA entries close by June-end.

Ranveer Singh is going great guns. He has been signed as the new face for Cola, which is being re launched. Ranbir Kapoor also endorses the same brand.

Madhuri soon be in Remo's musical flick...

Madhuri Dixit and Remo D’Souza, co-judges of the reality show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa are now taking their professional acquaintance a notch higher.

Reportedly, Dixit will feature in D’Souza’s upcoming song and dance film.

When contacted, D’Souza told, “It’s my dream to direct a musical film, unlike the way we usually define a musical in our Hindi films. It will be a Broadway styled musical with the characters expressing themselves through song and dance, instead of dialogues. I can’t imagine making a musical without Madhuriji. According to me, Hum Aapke Hain Kaun is one of the finest expressions of human aspirations in song and dance. That is the kind of musical I want to do with Madhuri.”

Madhuri Dixit says no to Rajnikant Rana....

Bollywood diva Madhuri Dixit today said she rejected the offer to star in a Tamil film along with Southern superstar Rajinikant because it was not the “right role” for her.
The ‘dhak dhak’ actress was offered a role in Rajinikant’s upcoming film Rana.
“Would have loved to do a film with Rajnikanth but the role was that of his sister…need to wait for the right role,” Madhuri said on micro-blogging site Twitter.
Rana, a Tamil historical action film directed by KS Ravikumar stars Rajinikant, Deepika Padukone, and Sonu Sood in lead roles. The film will be jointly produced by Ocher Picture Productions and Eros International.
Madhuri has worked with the 61-year-old veteran in ‘Uttar Dakshin’ in 1987.
With filming to start in April this year, the movie is expected to be simultaneously made in Hindi and dubbed in Telugu, all three of which are slated for release in 2012.
Dixit is currently judging a television dance reality show Jhalak Dikhlaa Ja.

Lara's Sangeet ceremony in GOA....

The star-studded 'sangeet' cermony of actress Lara Dutta and tennis star Mahesh Bhupati's wedding will be held February 16th, 2011, in Goa. The Candolim Beach Club, the venue of the ceremony, has been decked up in white keeping in tune with the theme for the occasion. Club Fresh is a popular hang out at the North Goa beach, where Bollywood actor Hrithik and Suzzane celebrated their marriage anniversary in January 2011. Lara and Mahesh have already registered their wedding in Mumbai while the formal church wedding and reception is scheduled on February 19 in Goa. The theme for entire sangeet is white, which matches with the theme of the club. There will be white roses, white jasmines, said Sunil Chawla, owner and partner of Club Fresh. For the 200 films and sport stars guests, D J Hussain will set the music ball rolling for the sangeet, playing Bollywood and Hollywood numbers for the guests. 'Lucent Dossier', a troupe from Los Angeles, will perform aerial acts on the occasion. Shah Rukh Khan will show up for the 'sangeet'. Cuisine selection includes Goan sea food, Thai and Sushi.

Ranbir and Kat exchange kisses.....

Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif were noticed kissing each other openly. Ranbir was on his way home from Amsterdam, where he had an ad shoot, and Katrina accompanied him on the flight LH576 from Frankfurt to Mumbai.
They sat on the same row and soon got closer and started hugging and kissing one another. They got comfortable when they saw most of the passengers were Europeans, who would not be able to spot out these two Bollywood superstars who did not wear makeup on that day. They were also seen rehearsing and discussing scripts. They were so much absorbed in one another, that it seemed they forgot the rest of the world. Eye witnesses reveal that these two lovers seemed to have a great time and were fully in a romantic mood. Even though, Ranbir asked for blanket later, but none of them were seen to take rest.

Salman jumps from 10,000 feet for an ad...

'Everyone is afraid of something or the other at some point of his or her life. But if you try to run away from fear, you'd be tired and eventually fear will win. So the best way to overcome fear is to face it, run through it because Darr Ke Aage Jeet Hai,'  said Salman.

Salman was initially not so sure about the stunt but he eventually did it. Wingsuit flying is a new sport of flying through the air in a special jumpsuit and pulling the parachute's ripcord as one approaches the ground.

He is said to be the first celebrity brand ambassador roped in by Mountain Dew.

Alpana Titus, category marketing director (flavoured carbonated drinks), PepsiCo India Beverages, says the new campaign is quite big in terms of quality and budget.

'Salman has jumped from a mountain which was 10,000 feet high. He did have jitters initially but was confident it would work out well and he would be able to overcome his fears in turn,' she said.

When asked why Salman was chosen out of all the known faces, Titus said: 'Salman was our first choice because he embodies our (Mountain Dew's) tagline 'Darr Ke Aage Jeet Hai' accurately and he also has a nationwide fan following. People in not only the metros but also the remote areas follow him.'

The 45-second TV commercial will air from Friday and a 60-second commercial will be shown in theatres.

Salman drives auto rickshaw in READY...

If his arch rival Shah Rukh Khan shot action scenes on a desi cycle-rickshaw, Salman Khan decided to be different and performed his stunts on tuk-tuk, the Thai auto-rickshaw, in the narrow streets of Pattaya for Anees Bazmee's "Ready".

"It was Bhai's (Salman's) idea to shoot with tuk-tuks which are very fast and powerful. He wanted to shoot an action sequence nobody has done before," Bhushan Kumar of T-Series said in a press statement.

"People have shot romantic songs or scenes perhaps, but such a high-voltage action sequence will be seen for the first time in 'Ready'. People will enjoy this unique Thai action," he added.

Following Salman's suggestion of using tuk-tuk in the shoot, an action scene was especially written and shot. The scene required two tuk-tuks to blow up and Salman had to jump into another tuk-tuk and drive off.

The producers - T-Series and Rajat Rawail - bought three tuk-tuks especially for this scene. "Ready" is slated for release June 6. 

Hrithik Roshan in Farah Khan's next....

After casting Shahrukh Khan in blockbusters ‘Main Hoon Na’ and ‘Om Shanti Om’, Farah shifted her loyalities to Akshay Kumar and cast him in her film, ‘Tees Maar Khan’ unfortunately, the film doomed at the box office and Farah felt heartbroken. To spin the wheeel of success again, she has signed Hrithik Roshan for her next film.

Farah moves towards Hrithik after she was choosen one of the judges of the dance reality show, ‘Show Me You Can Dance’ where Hrithik is one of the judges. Reportedly, the film will be co-produced by UTV and her company Three’s Company.

Farah has finished up with the first half of the film and working on the second half. Farah Khan said, “I will think of casting once the dialogue draft is ready.”

Salman and Deepika next??

The roumers says that Salman Khan has shown interests to work with Deepika Padukone, and so has Deepika, even Deepika has said that she is looking forward to work with Salman Khan.

On the other hand Ranbir Kapoor who is the Ex Boyfriend of the Om Shanti Om fame Deepika Padukone is working second time with Salman Khans Girlfriend Katrina Kaif and is spending more time with her for their movie Rajneeti, they are going on a tour for the promotions of the movie.

The sources also said that Kartina Kaif who has never accepted in public that Salman Khan is her boyfriend is now heard to be saying that its Salman’s wish what he is saying in public.

Yet another talent house has been added to Prakash Jha's forthcoming social drama ‘Aarakshan’ which already houses Amitabh Bachchan, Saif Ali Khan, Manoj Bajpayee, Deepika Padukone, Prateik Babbar….

Revealed Big B on his social networking site: "Hema ji joins us tomorrow for the shooting of 'Aarakshan'. It's a cameo but we are all looking forward to her arrival."

Amitabh and Hema Malini together have proved to be an adorable pair and their jodi has worked wonders on screen through several movies. But it is not yet known whether they are paired in 'Aarakshan'.

Sources said that Hema Malini’s part was not included initially but was later added since the script demanded it.

The yesteryear Dream Gal is currently very busy with her production ‘Tell Me Oh Khuda’ (starring her daughter Eesha Deol) and also through political front. Hema Malini recently filed nomination papers for the by-election to the Rajya Sabha. In spite of such a hectic work schedule the actress gave her nod for 'Aarakshan' when she found her role in the movie is quite interesting.

Patiala house is hittng Box office....

The opening of Nikhil Advani’s `Patiala House` was not expected to be big but what was witnessed last Friday was well below the mark. The film did show an up tick during the weekend but it was not substantial enough. Despite the fact that the Indian distributors have procured the film at a reasonable 22-23 crores `Patiala House` faces rough weather ahead. "Action Replayy" is honoured by Oscars Library...

Bollywood movie ‘Action Replayy’ featuring  Akshay Kumar and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, has been officially recognised by the Oscars Library. Recently, Director Vipul Shah has been invited by the Library of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences to have the screenplay of the movie preserved as a permanent script in its archive. The script will be used in the teachings of future generations of Film Studies students.

This would be the foruth of Akshay Kumar‘s movie being entered into the prestigious Library, with previous entries being the Box Office smashhits ‘Namastey London’ (also directed by Vipul Shah), ‘De Dana Dan’ and ‘Khatta Meetha’.

‘Action Replayy’ is a romantic-comedy set in the sassy 70’s, revolving around Akshay Kumar and his on-screen wife, played by Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. Their son, newcomer Aditya Roy Kapur, attempts to revive their deadpan marriage by travelling back in time to the 70’s. His first task is to convert his father from a short-sighted nerd with a nervous disposition into a handsome, bouncy-haired stud; and his mother from a feisty tomboy to the epitome of feminine grace. His next task is to achieve the impossible – make them fall in love with each other and persuade their feuding parents to agree to their marriage!

Asin to wear Bikini for Housefull 2....

Asin who is known for her 'girl next door' image is all set for a sexy makeover. She is the latest to join the Bollywood bikini brigade. If reports are to be believed, the actress is all set to slip into a two-piece swimwear for producer Sajid Nadiadwala's multi-starrer Housefull 2. Ace designer Aki Narula has been roped in to design Asin's outfits for the film. "The film will be canned in Italy and Greece. Besides, the demand of the script was a new look Asin," Sajid Nadiadwala reasons. Only recently, there was news that Bipasha Basu and John Abraham had broken up. And how did this speculation come about? Well, the handsome couple wasn't seen attending social dos together. However, Bipasha Basu was quick to clarify that John and she were simply busy doing their respective projects, and that all was well between them. 

However, now it's John's building people that seem to be convinced about this break-up. We bumped into a group of people who live in the same building as John's, and they excitedly told us, "We think the break-up is for real. We used to see Bipasha visit John quite frequently, but it's been almost two-three months that she hasn't been coming to John's. There's some serious problem between the two."

Though Kareena entered Bollywood with Refugee, a Box Office dud, she has made a mark for herself in the industry. And no one knows it better than the actress herself who doesn't think Katrina and Priyanka are actors! After hits like Golmaal, Jab We Met, she surely thinks she's the queen of Bollywood. On being asked about competition from her contemporaries Katrina and Priyanka Chopra, she saucily replied, "I thought you were talking about actors!", she told Mid Day.

For the Kapoor girl, the only competition is Rani Mukherjee.

Even Vidya Balan who has carved a place for herself as an A-lister, is no direct competition for Kareena. In an earlier interview, the actress revealed that Vidya and she dabbled in different genres.Well, modesty doesn't seem to be Bebo's mantra for life. The actress apparently firmly believes in her superior acting skills.

SRK is the highly paid host ever??

Shah Rukh Khan is proving that he is the 'Badshah' even of Tellyland. TOI has learned that King Khan is apparently charging Rs 2.5 crore per episode for his forthcoming reality show Zor Ka Jhatka on TV.

Top industry sources claim that with this astronomical amount, SRK certainly becomes the costliest B-town A-lister to be signed on for a reality show. Whenever Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar and Amitabh Bachchan have hosted TV shows, the industry debated whether they were the highest paid actors. However, this time it looks like the figures are on SRK's side. A source from the show reveals, "No one will speak openly about how much he is earning, but SRK charging Rs.2.5 crore certainly seems a believable figure.

As of now what can be revealed is that Shah Rukh is on for four weeks, Monday to Thursday, and if you calculate it, he is getting Rs 40 crore for 16 episodes. Bring on the superstar who can charge so much even after his last show on TV (Kya Hum Paanchvi Pass Se Tez Hain) was panned and did not get the TRP that he got during "Kaun Banega Crorepati."

The RK written at the nape of her neck was telling, but with the Ranbir Kapoor chapter over, Deepika Padukone has now re-designed the tattoo. According to the Bollywood sources, After being in a happy place with Siddharth Mallya , Deepika Padukone had initially decided to do away completely with the RK tattoo by undergoing a laser surgery to get rid of the tattoo on the nape of her neck, which she got while having her relationship with Bollyood Actor Ranbir Kapoor.

However, with the modified version of the tattoo, which reads TMK, is also being loosely interpreted as initials of the movie Tees Maar Khan. The pretty actress was seen flaunting her new tattoo at the premiere of her recently released Bollywood Movie Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Sey. Even after her break up with Ranbir, Deepika Padukone had decided to keep the ‘RK’ tattoo and was even quoted as saying that she wasn’t ‘embarrassed about her tattoo.’

Shahrukh jumps from 300 feet.....

October 12, 2010, Shahrukh Khan jumped from the roof of the Park Inn Hotel on the Alexanderplatz in Berlin on the second day of filming of Don 2 in the city..

In this scene, Shahrukh Khan is being chased by gangsters and his only way out is to jump from the roof.

A stuntman jumped for him to begin with, for the long shots, before Shah Rukh made the plunge himself for a close up.

After jumping his expressions was like this----- "Just did a over 300 feet base jump for Don...cos u all make me believe i can fly. Time to tell kids about the birds and the bees...ha ha.

"My jump was last shot of day. want to thank my duplicate & action team, to do it before me for wide shots & make me feel confident about it." His jump was frightening.......

SRK became very emotional in Koffe with Karan>>>

Karan Johar completely broke down when SRK started speaking about his former friends Farah Khan and Salman Khan. The episode of Koffee with Karan will air on January 2.

A source on the set says, “SRK’s episode with Kajol is emotional where Shahrukh Khan has been caught in a mellow, introspective mood. He is emotionally vulnerable, revelaing things that have hurt him in the last year.”

The source continued to add, “When Karan pointed out people feel that old friends Farah Khan and Salman have problems with Shahrukh Khan, SRK said, ‘I don’t know how to make friends and if I did and I have no clue how to keep them. If Salman and Farah are upset with me then it is 100 percent my fault, but I can’t pick up the phone and say sorry. I cannot apologize because I have ego issues, but because I cannot say get myself to ask people to come back to me. Once I did ask my parents to come back to me and they did not.”

He also admitted that one of his biggest enemies is his cell phone as many of his friends have complained that he does not take their calls and ignores them. At one point Karan had tears in his eyes when SRK said, “I feel it is understood that I love them if I have said it once, I cannot keep repeating it. I have some problem in saying ‘I Love You’ twice and thrice and keep repeating those words. Even in my movies I can never keep saying ‘I Love You!’”

KJo said, “It was totally a different cup of coffee this time. it is really awkward to discuss and recreate all those intimate scenes normally again. Till date I have never become emotional on the sets of Koffee with Karan, because that has never been the tone of the show. It is usually controversial and spicy.”

Kareena and Karisma Kapoor celebrated their dad Randhir’s birthday at a lounge bar in Bandra. Their mom Babita was missing but the rest of the Kapoor clan was in attendance. There were the Kapoor brothers Rishi and Rajiv with their wives, and Rima Jain with her husband Manoj. Even Ranbir Kapoor was part of this party organised by Rima for her older brother.

Kareena took special permission from Karan Johar, her producer, to take leave from the shooting of Short Term Shaadi to attend her dad’s birthday bash. “The venue Bungalow 9 was chosen as B-town celebrities don’t frequent it.

The Kapoors didn’t want to bump into anyone at their private do. Kareena was to shoot till midnight but when her aunt Rima called her, she requested director Shakun Batra to relieve her early and she joined the party. Bebo has an annual tradition. She takes her dad out for a birthday lunch every year.

Says an insider, “Randhir’s face lit up when he saw his two daughters and Ranbir  drop in to wish him.” There were no gifts for Dabboo (Randhir’s pet name) as it’s been a strict rule  followed by the Kapoor clan for years. He doesn’t like gifts on his janamdin, and has told everyone to respect his wishes. Even his children Kareena and Karisma stick to the no-gift policy.

Ra.One is a film where Shahrukh Khan is with Kareena Kapoor & the film is directed by Anubhav Sinha...

The shooting was originally supposed to begin in Miami, USA, but due to budget concerns this was scrapped. The first phase of filming begun in India in March 2010 and took place till May 2010 in Mumbai's Film City and Goa. The crew then moved on to London in June 2010 where the filming with the entire cast took place during July–August and has been completed. In an interview, Khan stated that the remaining portions would be completed in India & would require further 6 months of post production.

Khan also requested his long time collaborator & director Karan Johar to be present during shoot in London. While they were in London, media reports suggested Johar may have directed some romantic portions of the film; this was later denied by the director.
